Lt. Cmdr. Jeremy Lightner
Lt. Cmdr. Jeremy Lightner is a Florida native and enlisted in the Navy in 2004. During his enlisted career, he served as an aviation medical technician at Naval Hospital Corpus Christi and operationally with Marine Heavy Helicopter Squadron (HMH) 465 in Al Asad, Iraq between 2006 and 2007. He received his commissioned in 2011 and is a graduate of Texas A&M University.
Following his initial officer training, Lt. Lightner was assigned to Naval Hospital Jacksonville, Florida as a nurse corps officer. Ashore, he served as an emergency nurse at Naval Hospital Jacksonville, Naval Hospital Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, and as a medical officer recruiter for Navy Recruiting Command Jacksonville, Florida.
Lt. Lightner is currently assigned to Portsmouth Naval Medical Center in Virginia. He began competing in 2011 and professionally in 2013. In 2018, Hospital Corpsman 1st Class Shawn Buxton and Lt, Lightner developed the U. S. Navy Marksmanship Team (Action Component).
