Cmdr. Dave Michalak
Cmdr. Dave Michalak is a Florida native and joined the Navy in 1990. During his enlisted career, he served as a P-3C Orion aircrewman with Patrol Squadron (VP) 4, VP-30 and VP-31, and accumulated 2500 flying hours.
His a graduate of University of North Florida and earned his commission in 1999. Following his initial officer training, Cmdr. Michalak served in a variety of assignments. Operationally, he deployed aboard USS Mount Whitney (LCC 20), USS George Washington (CVN 73), USS Kearsarge (LHD 3), USS Saipan (LHA 2), and USS Nassau (LHA 4).
Ashore, Cmdr. Michalak served on the staffs of Commander, U.S. Fleet Forces Command; Commander, Naval Surface Force Atlantic; Commander, Naval Information Forces; and Commander, Information Warfare Training Group.
Cmdr. Michalak began competing with the U. S. Navy Marksmanship Team in 1998. He assumed his duties as officer in charge in May 2019.
