ATLANTIC OCEAN - ATLANTIC OCEAN (Oct. 25, 2022) Aircraft attached to Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 8 fly over the first-in-class aircraft carrier USS Gerald R. Ford (CVN 78) as the ship steams in formation in the Atlantic Ocean with the Spanish Armada frigate Alvaro de Bazan (F 101), Danish navy frigate HDMS Peter Willemoes (F362), Dutch navy frigate HNLMS De Zeven Provincien (F 802), the U.S. Navy Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Ramage (DDG 61), German navy frigate FGS Hessen (F 221), Dutch navy frigate HNLMS Van Amstel (F 831), and the U.S. Navy Ticonderoga-class guided-missile cruiser USS Normandy (CG 60), Oct. 25, 2022. The Gerald R. Ford Carrier Strike Group (GRFCSG) is deployed in the Atlantic Ocean, conducting training and operations alongside NATO Allies and partners to enhance integration for future operations and demonstrate the U.S. Navy's commitment to a peaceful, stable and conflict-free Atlantic region.
